As has been said many times, June was a crazy month in video game land, with several major games heading to both PS5 and PS4. The trifecta of Street Fighter 6, Diablo 4, and Final Fantasy 16 is an exciting lineup all on its own, but which of these rose to the top of the PS Store's download charts?
The headline's a clue: Blizzard's immensely successful ARPG was the top title on PS5, coming in at number one in both the US and Europe. It managed another number one result on PS4 in North America, with the almighty Minecraft on PS4 in EU stopping it from getting the complete set. Final Fantasy 16 had to settle for second place on both PS5 charts, while Street Fighter 6 was more up and down. It managed third place on PS5 on the American chart, sixth in Europe, and was less popular on PS4.
Meanwhile, Beat Saber cleaned up on the PSVR2 charts, followed by Pavlov VR. Top of the free-to-play charts was Fortnite, with Trackmania close behind in Europe and Call of Duty: Warzone at number two in the US.
