With the Burning Crusade Classic Sunwell Plateau PTR coming to an end, players have been quickly gathering information on the raid and clearing up some confusion regarding the next phase. Today, we're covering some of the hottest topics amongst the community.
Isle of Quel'Danas Unlocks Over TimeOne of the most forgotten about aspects of the Isle of Quel'Danas is that it unlocks over time, through each realm completing dailies and gaining reputation. In a sense, it is a realm-wide attunement to the Isle, unlocking new quest hubs and vendors. The reason this is important to be aware of, it means not all vendors will be available on day one of Phase 5. If the PTR is any indication, the realm will need to unlock the Isle in four phases, before everything becomes available.
The Raid was Fully Available (Possibly Only for Testing)Another often forgotten fact, the Sunwell Plateau raid was not fully available when Patch 2.4 became available. The raid was locked behind progression, tied directly to the Battle for Sun's Reach. As of right now on the PTR, all bosses are available for testing, which would make sense because players will need to test each boss and iron out any bugs before release. In the original Burning Crusade, on day 1 only the first three encounters were available, which each «wall» cutting off a single encounter. Meaning each phase progression in the Battle for Sun's Reach would unlock 1 more boss. For many realms in the original Burning Crusade, it took months before all the walls were opened inside the raid instance. As of right now, it is unclear if the raid will be completely open or not when Phase 5 is live on Burning Crusade Classic realms.
