The streamer Pokimane recently said that she might be leaving Twitch. Pokimane signed a contract with the platform two years ago which came to its conclusion on January 31, 2022. The streamer said that she will be revealing her next moves by February 8. Some have been speculating that she is planning a transition to YouTube like so many other streamers have done over the course of this past year.
“It’s so weird to say this out loud, but today is the last day of my Twitch contract,” Pokimane said in a stream. “It’s been a crazy, crazy two years,” she remarked. “Lots of ups and downs, lots of good memories. Lots of friends. Lots of clips.” She went on to say that “you guys can join me for the next chapter in about a week or so. I’m going to confirm the date later today on Twitter.”

Pokimane tweeted after the stream that “my Twitch contract ends today. I’ll see you guys on February 8 for the next chapter. Much love to you all.”
Valkyrae revealed earlier in the day that she had signed with YouTube, fueling speculation that Pokimane might follow suit. But the streamer denied any connection between the two announcements. Pokimane pointed out that her decision as to whether or not she will be staying on Twitch has already been made. The streamer said that she is only going to be making things official. YouTube has recently made agreements with TimTheTatman, Ludwig, Valkyrae, and Dr Disrespect.
