As of July, Pokemon Unite has been celebrating its one-year anniversary. As part of the Pokemon Unite celebration, new Pokemon are being released for players to use in the game. These include Glaceon, Buzzwole, Tyranitar, and three more that have not yet been revealed. The not-yet-revealed Pokemon will join the game in September. Not only will there be new Pokemon, but a new game mode called Bush Rush.
Tyranitar has been a popular Pokemon since it was introduced in generation two of the games. It is part Dark and Rock-type and is known as a pseudo-legendary Pokemon. This won't be the first pseudo-legendary Pokemon, as Dragonite and Garchomp are also in that group.

The moveset and details as to Tyranitar's playstyle have not yet been released. Fans are predicting Tyranitar to be an all-rounder or attacker and to likely know the move Dark Pulse, as the trailer showed Tyranitar using a move that looks a lot like that. Tyranitar is also the final evaluation of Larvitar, so players will be leveling up Larvitar to Pupitar to Tyranitar during matches.
Tyranitar is known for its high Attack stat. Its lowest stat is typically Speed. While immune to Psychic-type moves, Tyranitar is especially weak to Fighting-types. It is resistant to Normal, Flying, Ghost, Fire, Poison, and Dark-type moves and weak to Fairy, Grass, Steel, Water, Bug, and Ground.
