Chandelure debuted on Pokemon Unite this week, and, while the overall response has been mostly positive, players have criticised the sheer volume of its sound effects.
From comparisons to warzones and explosions to suggestions of using it to blow out players' speakers, Chandelure has been singled out as being especially deafening.

On Reddit, one of the most hotly discussed topics at the moment is just how loud Chandelure is. One post compared it to the famous scene in Spongebob Squarepants where a band manages to blast our a building’s windows, while another compares it to bombs and gunfire.
“The Unite move noise legit scared the shit out of me earlier” reddit user RaziyaRC said, “I thought my speakers blew up.” Meanwhile, Vitriuz said “Good, I like to burst my opponents’ eardrums anyways.” According to fartfignewtonn, it “sounds like a truck accident when I hit with it”.
Two moves in particular are causing the most problems. The first is the regular ability Imprison, which can freeze opponents in place and stop them from using move, accompanied by a loud shotgun blast of a bang.
The second is Ignite Midnight, its Unite Move that blocks opponents’ vision and fires a large, damaging beam in the targeted direction on its second use. This one is loud multiple times, as the first activation makes a loud whirring noise, followed by a bang. The beam then makes a static-like buzzing sound which is very unpleasant to hear.
