Ever since Pokemon games introduced online compatibility with Generation 4 on the DS (Diamond and Pearl), trainers have been able to connect online using the Mystery Gift feature to receive exclusive and usually limited-time gifts, such as rare Pokemon like Manaphy. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, the Mystery Gift functionality is back once again, and by using this guide, players can learn how to get it and how to use it.
There will not be any story spoilers for Pokemon Legends: Arceus in this guide, but players will be able to unlock the Mystery Gift feature once they get to the fifth main story mission. If players aren't going off and doing lots of Requests and Pokemon catching, then getting to mission five should only take about an hour or two at the most. Players will be able to use Mystery Gift by going into a specific menu. Luckily, it can be used at any time, unless players are in a battle scenario out in the field.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus players need to press the up button on the d-pad to open up the menu. From here, players can scroll through the different pages using the ZL or ZR triggers on the Nintendo Switch. There should now be a tab that shows a Wi-Fi connection-esque signal with some communication options. From here, press the Mystery Gifts button to connect online to receive gifts from The Pokemon Company. Now, press Get Via Internet. Of course, in order for this to work, players will need to have their Switch connected to the internet.
