Overqwil is one of the newest creatures available for capture in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Since the release of Pokémon Sun and Moon, every new mainline title has introduced new regional variants of older Pokémon. Fan-favorites like the Fire-type Pokémon Vulpix were transformed into an Ice-type for its Alolan version. This trend continues with Pokémon Legends: Arceus as a handful of older Pokémon have received not only new regional forms but entirely new evolutions. For the first time ever, it's possible to evolve Qwilfish.
Making its debut back in Pokémon Gold and Silver, Qwilfish is a Water-type Pokémon. It was a Water and Poison-type Pokémon, but its Hisuian form shifts it by making it Dark and Poison-type. This pairing makes Qwilfish only weak to Ground-type attacks. Although, resists Poison, Ghost, Grass, and Dark-type attacks while also being completely immune to Psychic-type attacks. Capturing this Pokémon and evolving it is required for completing the Pokédex and unlocking the Shiny Charm. Trainers will need to wait until they have access to Basculegion to find it.
