The upcoming Pokémon GO event, the Festival of Colors, will see Oricorio make its debut in the wildly popular augmented reality game. This marks the latest Pokémon to join Pokémon GO from the Kalos region, which was the setting of Pokémon X & Y.
When Pokémon GO announced the Season of Alola, which runs through June 1, many players assumed that this meant that most of the new Pokémon to be added would come from Generation 7. This generation, which revolved around the Pokémon Sun & Moon games that introduced the Alola region, is notable for many interesting bird Pokémon, including Pikipek and its evolutions Trumbeak and Toucannon. These Pokémon were, unsurprisingly, introduced with the Season of Alola to Pokémon GO along with the three Alolan starter Pokémon Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. While fans of Pokémon Sun & Moon were delighted to see some of their favorite Pokémon join Pokémon GO, developer Niantic assured players that Pokémon from other generations would be joining as well. Now, it appears that will be the case as a new event is set to begin.

According to Gamespot, Pokémon GO's next event, called the Festival of Colors, will introduce the dancing bird Pokémon Oricorio to the game with several unique variants. Depending on their region, players can catch one of four variants. The Pom-Pom Oricorio will be available to those in the Americas while those in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa can find a Baile Oricorio. Asia-Pacific players can capture a Sensu Oricorio, while the Pa'u Oriocorio will be available to players in select areas of Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and the Caribbean.
