The couple met in the pods, and Deepti immediately called out Shake's questionable behavior. Shake had been trying to ask the women coded questions in order to gauge their weight, even going as far as to ask Deepti if she would be easy to "lift" at a concert. Once he realized this line of questioning was not very becoming, Shake began to quickly change his tune. Fortunately, the cast members had her back and let her know, which led to her rejecting him at the altar. In an iconic move, Deepti proudly said, "I'm choosing myself" and walked away without shedding a tear. Since that moment, Deepti has become a bit of an icon.
