May is just about here and Pokemon GO trainers are going to have a lot of activities to stay busy with before June brings GO Fest 2022's Habitat Hours and other bonuses. May's official calendar of events is now live and trainers are going to have four weeks of activities to help pass the time until June finally arrives and brings the biggest month of the year for fans of the mobile AR game.
Trainers can start looking ahead to find out what bonuses, spawns, Battle Raids, and events are on the way to Pokemon GO throughout May. As always, the month will feature a Community Day along with Raid Hours, Spotlight Hours, and some special standalone events including a highlight on Mega Pokemon.
Pokemon GO Fest 2022 Dates, Locations, and More Announced
For one last month, the existing Season of Alola spawns and bonuses will continue on. A new season will kick off next month, but for now players can enjoy the bonuses and spawns they've grown used to during the last two months. In addition, there will be the Mega event, a return of the Water Festival, another Mega Evolution event with a focus on the skies, and one last highlight on the Alola region's most popular Pokemon.
Mega Evolution is getting a mega update! Pokémon that can Mega Evolve in Pokémon GO are going to appear more frequently in the wild until Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time! A Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day will also be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time.
Set your sights on the sky! The first Legendary Pokémon that can Mega Evolve in Pokémon GO—Mega Latias and Mega Latios—will be featured from Tuesday, May 3, 2022, to Sunday, May 8, 2022!
Look out for a surge of Water-type Pokémon from Thursday, May 12, 2022, to Friday, May 20, 2022.
