Pokemon GO has undergone a lot of changes in the last year alone. The mobile hit has seen the return of in-person events across the world as well as a large overhaul in the Mega Evolution mechanic.
Over the last six years, the mobile game still manages to boast millions of daily players that generate billions of dollars in revenue for The Pokemon Company. The developer, Niantic, is continuously looking for new features to add to the game to keep fans coming back for more. This time, the team has turned its attention back to the original mechanic: catching Pokemon.
Bizarre Pokemon GO Bug Gives Player Top-Down Perspective
The latest addition to Pokemon GO comes in the form of a new incense module named the Daily Adventure Incense. This can be found in the player’s item bag, and once activated, Pokemon that aren’t normally found in the wild will be attracted to the trainer’s location for 15 minutes so long as the trainer is moving. Once the time limit is up, players will have to wait until 12.00 AM local time for the module to reappear in the item bag and must be used by 11.44 PM at the latest for the next day’s unit to be granted. In addition, only one incense at a time can be held.
The new module shares a lot of similarities with the Meltan Mystery Box, which is obtained by linking Pokemon GO to a Nintendo Switch console. The daily incense doesn’t take up room in the player’s bag and cannot be used in conjunction with either the Mystery Box or the regular incense. On top of the new item, if a player has fewer than 30 Poke Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls, then an additional 30 Poke Balls will be added once the Daily Adventure Incense is activated.
