A Pokemon web-anime series based in the Hisui region has been announced for release later this year.
The Pokemon Company held its first Pokemon Presents earlier today, in which it announced the next generation of Pokemon with Scarlet and Violet, updates for Pokemon Unite, Alolan Pokemon coming to Pokemon Go, and more. It also announced a new update coming to Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as well as a new web-anime series that'll debut later this year based in the Hisui region.

The announcement was made by Takato Utsunomiya, chief operating officer at The Pokemon Company, shortly after he confirmed a new update was coming to Legends: Arceus that adds in new battles and missions. The announcement was short and featured a single piece of concept art showing the main protagonist being followed through some snowy woods by a Hisuian Zorua.
Although we were only shown one piece of concept art for the series, it's interesting to note that it seems to be a bit more grounded and suspenseful than other animated Pokemon series. Legends: Arceus takes place in a time where many Pokemon are considered dangerous and it seems like this series might be working with that theme, if the stalker-y Zorua is to be believed.
There wasn't much else revealed about the anime series, save from the fact that it'll feature an "original story" and will be releasing later in 2022. The announcement also specifically called the anime an "online series", so it seems likely that it'll be released on the official Pokemon YouTube over time, rather than being a full-blown anime like Pokemon Journeys.
This wouldn't be the first time that The Pokemon Company has released short
