Development studios Oddboy and M-Theory launch their first game that players owning a PlayStation VR set will want to take a peek at: Wanderer.
Built from the ground up for VR, Wanderer is a puzzle-based adventure game that the developers aim to establish and further the next-generation of games of this genre. Oddboy and M-Theory utilize «realistic and innovative physics-based interactions» to bring their game's puzzles and environments to life.
Time-Traveling PSVR Game Wanderer Launching Later This Year
Wanderer sets the players in the shoes of a character named Asher Neumann, a time traveler tasked with responsibility of rewriting the past. Set in the year 2061, Earth lies in ruins, and nature is devouring all of what's left of humanity's influence on the world. Players will see themselves traveling back in time to explore ages such as the moon landing, the psychedelic 60s, and even Tikal in 1525. Players will not only travel through the past, they will also travel into the post-apocalyptic future to solve puzzles and crack codes. According to the developers, Wanderer combines aspects found in escape room puzzles and action sequences to deliver an experience that sees players bring objects and events from the past together in unique and unexpected ways.
In this PSVR journey, players will get to meet and interact with some history's notable icons such as Nikola Tesla. They will also find themselves working with a Mayan priest to fend off an invasion, performing at a concert in Bethel, New York in front of massive hordes of people, and even decoding messages in the middle of a war.
