The PlayStation Plus August 2022 catalog for Extra and Premium subscribers was partially revealed when Sony revealed the Essential tier of games. Now, the company has gone and shown the full slate coming on August 16.
,, and are the three games that will be on the both Extra and Premium. was a well-received prequel to the series and widely regarded as the first one to play for newcomers. and are remakes of the first two games and have new visuals and features. The other games will make their way to the various tiers later in the year.
,,, and are the other highlights, even though the first two were previously on other tiers of the service. is an adventure title that blends aspects of and and was renowned for its characters and inventive world. It also got a big free content update that added a whole new island. is a four-on-one asymmetrical online horror game that has been trucking along since its launch in 2016.
did not review particularly well, but is another checklist-driven open-world game from Ubisoft that focuses on co-op., however, was beloved for its bigger world, which let players explore the harsh, bombed-out environments of the series in less linear ways while still retaining the tension in the more guided entries.
