PlayStation Announces State of Play for September 2022
PlayStation has finally announced that the long-rumored State of Play for September 2022 will take place on Tuesday, September 13 at 3pm PT. PlayStation has been rumored to be hosting a State of Play event for September for quite some time, with various insiders claiming that one was going to take place this month. Now fans have official confirmation and know not only when to tune in, but a little of what they can expect to see.
The PlayStation State of Play for September 2022 will feature PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation VR2 games. Sony stopped short of specifying any other games that may be at the event, but this does set expectations. PlayStation fans that tune in to the September 2022 State of Play can expect it to run the gamut, focusing on big upcoming titles for all of PlayStation's currently-supported platforms.

When it comes to PS VR2, a safe bet is that the State of Play will feature the big previously-announced virtual reality titles that are in development for the new headset, like Horizon Call of the Mountain. Perhaps Sony will finally announce pricing and release date information for the PS VR2 headset, but that might be asking for too much when the device isn't expected to drop until next year at the earliest.
As far as traditional console games go, one has to imagine that God of War Ragnarok is a lock for the State of Play, as it's the company's biggest release this holiday season.
