Pikmin 4 has been announced by Nintendo, with Shigeru Miyamoto pulling back the curtain on it no less.
No gameplay was shown off, but we got a couple of images. The sequel to Pikmin 3, which came out all the way back in July 2013, is due out for next year.

During the Direct, Miyamoto did talk plenty about the Niantic AR title Pikmin Bloom, and also showed off a Pikmin t-shirt. But it seems they're going to wait a while before showing off any gameplay from Pikmin 4. Check out the announcement trailer below.
