In , Theurgy Attacks are another way to do devastating damage to enemies, but they will only be unlocked after Fuuka joins the team. There are only seven different Theurgy Attacks available for the protagonist, but each party member will also unlock their own specialized Theurgy Attacks.
Each of the protagonist's Theurgy Attacks requires two specific personas that team up to perform a special attack. While there were significantly more Theurgy Attacks, or Fusion Skills, in, many were removed from the original game as part of the changes for. However, the ones that remain are worth unlocking.
These Fusion Skill attacks are dependent solely on the protagonist's equipped Personas in . Even if a Theurgy Attack has been unlocked previously, it can only be used if you are currently equipped with both of the required Personas for that attack. Therefore, players will only be able to have access to some Theurgy at some times and should instead decide on the ones that are most beneficial to them.
Many of the required Personas have extensive requirements to unlock them, so it's important to ensure you max out the right Social Links to access the Theurgy Attack you desire. Though it can be a lot of work, some of these attacks, like Armageddon, are capable of taking out enemies like the Reaper in one shot and can be very valuable during the final boss fights; however, some of them do come with a steep cost, so read carefully before initiating the attack.
While party members have their own methods for charging their Theurgy Meter, the protagonist charges theirs by swapping to a new Persona and using one of its skills. Note that on some of the higher Tartarus Floors in , there will also be Cups cards that can be obtained and will charge the meter either halfway or fully.
