Persona 3 Reload is seemingly getting the additional content from Persona 3 FES after all, with a datamine and end of game tease certainly suggesting as such.
As reported by PC Gamer, an item only obtained by beating the hardest difficulty of Persona 3 Reload — a remake of 2009's Persona 3 that didn't include any content from its expanded versions, FES and Portable — hints towards the former's epilogue being released for it eventually.
FES, similar to Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal, added a chunk of new content to Persona 3 headlined by the addition of The Answer, a roughly 30-hour epilogue. Persona 3 Reload does not include this content because developer Atlus "wanted to really, genuinely work on recreating the Persona 3 experience", it said at the time.
Dataminer ruinedsteg0 discovered six titles for downloadable content hidden within the files of Persona 3 Reload, and while this doesn't mean the content is guaranteed, it certainly suggests it's on the minds of the development team. This is backed up by the aforementioned item. Beating the game on Merciless grants players the Blue Envelope, which has the description: "At the end of a great trial, the answer illuminates my path."
This comes despite Atlus saying the team has no plans for any such content. "Currently, we are not considering a revision like with Persona 5 to Persona 5 Royal, which involved significant changes and additions to the original title," Persona Team production manager Kazuhisa Wada said. "Fans can rest assured knowing that Persona 3 Reload offers a complete experience."
Persona 3 Reload arrived February 2 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X and S, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version hasn't been announced so far, though Persona 3 Reload's director Takuya Yamaguchi has said it's not out of the question.
