Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen will be released in Early Access this December. Visionary Realms announced the big move today, along with some initial details, after months of Seasons and updates.
The team recently opened up test Seasons to all pledge levels, and later this year, Early Access will open things up even more. When Early Access comes, there will be six playable races, 12 classes, and six zones. If you were already an existing pledge of any level, you will get an early access release copy and all of your eligible perks will come along. After Early Access launch, those perks won’t be available again, so if you've already pledged or if you haven't raised your pledge for additional goodies yet, the countdown is now on.
Pantheon has been testing Seasons since February with a tiered access model, allowing VIPs to get the full run of the season, and allowing other supporters in for more limited amounts of time. Moving to an Early Access model will let more players in, help the team to continue development, not only with funds (if not yet pledged or not having maxed pledges yet), but with additional data from a global community.
In a press release announcing the big change, CEO Christopher Rowan says, “The Testing Seasons phase has allowed us to gain incredible momentum and streamline our processes. We have an incredibly supportive community who made this immense progress possible. Now we want to get it out there for the rest of the world to enjoy while we continue adding the rest of the planned content and systems that we have scoped”.
Vicarious Visions plans to continue adding to Pantheon over time, all of this data from Seasons and later, Early Access will also help the team to improve the game, respond to feedback, improve tools, performance, and to add more content.
