Palworld creator Takuro Mizobe has said that his studio is in talks to release the 'Pokemon with Guns' game on more platforms.
That's what the CEO of Pocketpair and creator of Palworld said in a new interview with Bloomberg. According to Mizobe, he wants to bring the title to additional platforms beyond Xbox Game Pass and Steam. As also revealed by the CEO, his studio is open to partnerships or acquisitions. Given the huge success on Microsoft's platform (and Microsoft's acquisition spree), many considered the possibility of Pocketpair being acquired by Microsoft as well. This, however, isn't the case for now as Mizobe has said that his studio currently isn't in talks with Microsoft about being acquired. The CEO also pointed out that Pocketpair intends to remain a small studio that wants to make various smaller titles.
“We are and will remain a small studio,” Mizobe said in the interview. “I want to make multiple small games. Big-budget triple-A games are not for us". Interestingly, the CEO has expressed that although it wants to make other smaller titles, he isn't convinced that it will be as successful as Palworld. He does, however, believe that including multiplayer in new games is essential for success. “Games are most fun when playing with friends,” the CEO said. “A game without a multiplayer mode just doesn’t feel right in the era we live today.”
We're pretty sure that many players would like to see Palworld hitting PlayStation 5, and possibly the Switch as well.
