The new game type in Overwatch 2 Beta is Push Mode, a mode where two teams of five compete for control over a TS-1 robot that's used to push a barricade toward the opposing team's spawn point. Players will need to coordinate with their team members to maintain control of TS-1 and get their barricade pushed back the farthest. There are a few different circumstances that can qualify a team for winning Push Mode, but it's possible to go into overtime at the end of a match.
The beta testing for Overwatch 2 began on April 26, 2022, and is currently scheduled to end on May 17, 2022. The beta test is only available on PC, so console players will need to wait for the full release. There's no official release date for the full game at this time, but it's expected to be out later this year. Until then, players with access to the beta version can test out the new Push Mode and start identifying the best strategies for winning.

The robot will only push the barricade when control is not being contested, so Overwatch 2 Beta heroes will need to continuously eliminate all members of the other team to keep control. If neither barricade reaches a spawn location by the end of the eight-minute match, then the team that has control of TS-1 and has the farthest barricade will win. If one team is further but the other team has control of the robot, then the match goes into overtime until one team meets both criteria.
TS-1 will only move when players are nearby, and it moves significantly faster if the whole team is there. Every time TS-1 pushes the barricade
