Mana is a resource in Outward used to cast spells. At the start of the game, you will not be able to use Mana; instead, you must go get it yourself. If you don't know how to begin the process of getting Mana, we are here to help.

In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to get Mana. It's important to note that this is completely optional; at no point are you required to get Mana to continue on in the story. If obtaining mana and using magic does not interest you, you don't have to go through the process. Additionally, you can choose the amount of Mana that you want, so you don't have to fully commit to playing as a Mage.
The first step to obtaining Mana is to travel to Conflux Mountain. This is a Ley Line, which are locations that are used to get Mana.
There is another Ley Line in the Sorobor Academy within Harmattan in The Soroboreans DLC, but the Conflux Mountain Ley Line is easier to reach.
Once you make it to the mountain, you can find a path leading up it from the southern edge. Heading up the mountain, you will find three doors leading to the Conflux Chambers.
These three doors are Conflux Paths, with each one associated with a faction. Below, you can find each faction's path and where you can find it on the mountain.
You can choose any path, regardless of what faction you are in. Now that you know which entrance is which, let's go over how to go through each path to reach the Conflux Chamber.
Each of these paths can hold a variety of enemies, so be sure to bring food, potions, and bandages just in case you get hurt.
