LEGO Ideas is a special website dedicated to hosting custom, community-driven LEGO projects that — if given enough attention — may result in a project's official boxed LEGO release. It just so happens that Annapurna Interactive's Outer Wilds is now being featured there, front-and-center.
Custom LEGO sets are not a new thing, but the fact that LEGO Ideas allows people to try and whip up a collaboration with LEGO directly has led to a huge number of exciting projects hosted on the website. A fan of Outer Wilds has, for example, created a special LEGO version of the game's spaceship.

The LEGO version of the Hearthean's ship from Outer Wilds features all the key details that made the vessel special in the first place, except in LEGO format. There's even a small Hearthean mini-figure sitting in the cockpit. In fact, the set looks about as official and licensed as it gets, easily going toe to toe with the likes of Horizon: ForbiddenWest Tallneck LEGO set that was released not long ago.
The set features classic LEGO attention to detail, even though it's a custom build designed by user SuperSirLink, not dissimilar to the recent LEGO Normandy from Mass Effect games. According to SuperSirLink, the set is customizable and has removable side pods for access to the ship's interior. Inside, there's a computer log system, the reactor core, an antigravity crystal, and gear inventory.
At the time of writing this article, the LEGO build of Hearthean's ship has attained over 2,000 supporters out of 10,000 that are needed for LEGO to officially consider releasing the set.
