Obi-Wan Kenobi's Premiere Date Delayed To May 27, First Two Episodes Will Drop Together
thegamer.comDisney is going hard on Marvel and Star Wars TV shows right now, and understandably so as the two are perhaps the biggest IPs under its all-encompassing umbrella. Moon Knight's first episode debuted earlier this week and following the massive success of The Mandalorian and then spinoff The Book Of Boba Fett, all-new Star Wars show Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming to the streaming service later this year.
Unfortunately, as revealed by Obi-Wan himself Ewan McGregor, Star Wars fans are being made to wait a little longer than expected for the new series. Don't panic, it hasn't been given the Breath Of The Wild 2 treatment and pushed all the way back to Spring 2023. Obi-Wan Kenobi will now premiere on Disney Plus May 27, 2022, just two days after it was originally going to debut.

Certainly not the end of the world, and to appease the few who will undoubtedly take great issue with having to wait an extra 48 hours for their new Star Wars fix, there's a bit of good news. For being god fans and waiting patiently for two more days, the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi will be dropping at the same time. Since that's the case, the glass half full way of looking at this would be to say the second episode has been moved up by five days rather than the first one has been pushed back two.
Despite the success of The Mandalorian, and the excitement surrounding the deeper telling of Boba Fett's Star Wars story, Obi-Wan might well be the most-anticipated Star Wars series yet. The return of McGregor as Obi-Wan, and likely a number of other familiar faces.
