Update: Read our full Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer breakdown!
A new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer arrives as Lucasfilm celebrates May the 4th (aka Star Wars Day), and it teases Darth Vader's return. Announced several years ago at D23, Ewan McGregor is making his highly anticipated return to the Star Wars universe for the Disney+ series. Obi-Wan Kenobi marks the first time the actor will play the famous Jedi since Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith. The series comes from director Deborah Chow and reunites McGregor with Hayden Christensen, who returns as Anakin/Darth Vader and will take part in a rematch with Obi-Wan.
After not revealing much about the series for a long time, Lucasfilm kicked off Obi-Wan Kenobi's marketing campaign earlier this year with the release of the first trailer. The footage teased Obi-Wan's reclusive life on Tattooine as he keeps a watchful eye on Luke Skywalker. However, he is called back into action when Darth Vader's Jedi hunting group, the Inquisitors, begin getting too close for comfort. Obi-Wan Kenobi includes new and familiar Inquisitors who will fight Obi-Wan in a story that goes beyond Tattooine.
