Now Skull & Bones has been rated by the ESRB

Skull & Bones has been rated by the ESRB in North America, following speculation that the game will be re-introduced by Ubisoft soon.

Following earlier ratings in both Brazil and South Korea, the long-in-development game, which is planned to release before March 2023 according to Ubisoft, has been rated M for Mature in the regions covered by ESRB.

Ubisoft will finally re-reveal online pirate game next month, it’s been claimed in a recent report. 

According to the rating, the game is deemed M for Mature due to the inclusion of “Blood, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Drugs, Violence.”

The rating also reveals that the game will feature in-game purchases, although this can cover anything from full DLC packs to micro-transactions. 

While Ubisoft has been extremely quiet regarding the game in recent years, there are other potential signs it could be nearing completion, most notably via a leaked Skull & Bones video earlier this year, which provided an overview of what players can expect.

The game is set in a world inspired by the Indian Ocean during the golden age of piracy, according to the video which was shared online before being pulled.

Skull & Bones was first revealed by Ubisoft at E3 2017, with a release date set for the end of 2018.

It was then delayed to 2019, then March 2020, then the fiscal year ending March 2022, and then the fiscal year ending March 2023.
