There are a multitude of Nintendo Switch controllers whose button layouts resemble the GameCube's. Ironically, there are only a handful that share the GameCube's color scheme, though, making this fan's custom Switch controllers all the more impressive.
Nintendo's relationship to the GameCube has been pretty strange in recent years, at times remembering it fondly and in others forgetting it exists entirely. For example, Nintendo added GameCube controller support to Super Mario Sunshine in the Super Mario 3D All-Stars pack, either through the GameCube controller dongle, or through a USB GameCube Pro Controller. While a nice gesture, it was one of the few things that GameCube fans would get as there doesn't seem to be any sort of GameCube Virtual Console, or remaster of a beloved GameCube title on the way. Fans will just have to continue enjoying the Mario and Zelda-themed GameCube controllers until something special comes along.

Reddit user LestatsMods has shared a look at their series of GameCube-inspired Switch controllers. In the image posted to gaming subreddit, LestatsMods shows off their modded Switch Pro Controller, Joy-Con Controller, Switch Lite, and base Switch console, all designed by hand to look like extensions of the GameCube. LestatsMods nails all the essential details, like the iconic purple color, the green and red "A" and "B" buttons respectively, the tiny yellow C-stick, and even the one purple "Z" button on the top right shoulder.
