For many people, being in the Boy Scouts or Cub Scouts is a big part of growing up. Scouts improve their rank as they complete training and get older, and now the current President of Nintendo of America has taken the opportunity to praise some kids who were ranking up.
A Cub Scout leader was looking to produce a special celebration for their achievement of the highest rank in the Cub Scouts. They got the idea to reach out to Nintendo, hoping to receive something as simple as a official Nintendo letterhead offering praise to present duing the Cub Scouts' electronics-themed Blue & Gold Banquet event, but he got something even better.

After successfully reaching out to Nintendo, all that was left was to wait. Unfortunately, the praise was a little late for the award ceremony, but the kids are surely thrilled nonetheless. Rather than receiving a generic letter, Doug Bowser, the current President of Nintendo of America, reached out himself in letter form. The letter offers personalized praise to the six scouts, highlighting the hard work they'd put in to achieve the Arrow of Light rank.
Despite the name, the rank has no association with Zelda or anything else to do with Nintendo. Kids in the Cub Scouts raise their rank as they move through each year of schooling, starting with completing kindergarten. The Arrow of Light rank is achieved when Cub Scouts are ready to move on from the scout group after completing fourth grade in school.
