Nintendo has announced a new Splatoon 3 Switch OLED, which is set to be released later this year in August 26, right before the game launches on September 9.
The publisher has provided a full look at the system (front and back) in the video below, as well as the dock and the Joy-Con layout. Nintendo describes the color scheme as “a set of one blue and one yellow gradient Joy-Con controllers with white underbellies and a white, graffiti-themed Nintendo Switch dock.”
The company re-iterates that this will be the same Switch OLED model that sports the 7-inch upgraded screen, complete with the wired LAN port in the dock, and 64GB of storage space. In other words, you aren’t missing much if you don’t want the new dock or the Joy-Con. The Splatoon 3 Switch OLED will cost $359.99.
I won’t lose sleep over not picking this one up, but Splatoon fans will likely jump at the opportunity to pick something up! It’s not every day (or year, really) that Splatoon gets a big celebration like this in hardware form.
