Gamescom has officially wrapped up, but though Nintendo didn’t have a presence at the event this year, the Japanese company does still have announcements to make- and imminently.
Taking to Twitter, Nintendo has announced an upcoming double feature. Tomorrow, August 27, will see the company livestreaming an Indie World Showcase, which will be followed directly by a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The back-to-back presentations will kick off at 7 AM PT, and will be roughly 40 minutes long in total.
You can probably expect plenty of third party announcements, indie and otherwise, though it remains to be seen whether anything particularly major comes up. Presumably, Hollow Knight: Silksong fans will be hoping for news, but at this point, it’s hard to be sure when exactly that game is going to re-emerge. One thing we do know is that news will not be shared on the Nintendo Switch successor, which, as previously confirmed, is set to be announced sometime before April next year.
Please note, there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during either of these presentations.
