On May 19, the Urusei Yatsura official website posted the first full trailer for the upcoming 2022 adaptation of legendary mangaka Rumiko Takahashi's classic work. The visual revealed more information about the upcoming project, including additional cast members and key members of staff.
The promotional trailer also dropped vital information regarding an October release for the new anime, officially titled Urusei Yatsura: All Stars. It is slated to run for a full year, adapting certain parts of the original manga. The trailer can be found below.
Urusei Yatsura Manga Getting New Anime in 2022
Urusei Yatsura: All-Stars is set up to have an all-star cast, including previously revealed cast members Hiroshi Kamiya as Ataru Moroboshi, Sumire Uesaka as Lum, Maaya Uchida as Shinobu Miyake, and Mamoru Miyano as Shūtarō Mendō. The new trailer reveals the voices of Cherry and Sakura who are to be played by Wataru Takagi and Miyuki Sawashiro respectively, rounding off the star-studded list of cast members.
The new trailer for Urusei Yatsura: All-Stars revealed the names of additional David Production staff members who'll be working on the series together with previously-revealed Directors Hideya Takahashi; who has credits on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Yasuhiro Kimura:
