New Honkai Star Rail Animation Sheds Light on Jin Yuang’s Past

Following hot on the heels of Honkai Star Rail’s highly successful launch, HoYoverse has dropped a brand new Honkai Star Rail animation. It’s called “A Flash”, and it features stunning anime visuals. If you haven’t seen the animation yet, check it out below.

The animation starts off mysteriously, with floating debris hovering aimlessly in mid-air. It suddenly cuts to a shimmering blade surrounded by frozen beings and a chilly blizzard. If you’re familiar with the game, you’ll know what this is – we won’t spoil anything, of course!

A figure stands tall and overlooks the surrounding area as a smartly dressed man walks toward them. This man is, in fact, Jin Yuang – an upcoming character. You will soon be able to pull on his banner as he is set to release once Seele’s banner ends.

The breeze flows through his silver hair as he sternly looks at the figure, holding his large sword out in a threatening manner. We then see the close-up of a woman, who continues to stare at Jin Yuang without moving a muscle. A flashback appears before our eyes, and sheds some light on this awkward encounter – this woman is his master, or at least was. 

She smirks and rushes down towards him as they take part in an action-packed battle scene. The clanging of metal swords and sparks flying fills the air as an additional flashback is shown on screen. A beautiful action shot follows as Jin Yuang catches a glimpse of himself in the reflection of the woman’s sword.

It is then revealed that there is something evil lurking in the shadows, and the young woman mentions something about becoming “stricken”. The next shot features the woman crying on the floor as she conjures up ice structures from the ground – we assume this means she became “stricken”
