A new official Diablo book called «Diablo: Tales from the Horadric Library» has been listed on Amazon and other websites. The book, which is supposed to release on October 18, will contain several short stories set in the world of Sanctuary. Its title indicates that the stories have been collected and told by the Brotherhood of the Horadrim.
Once founded by Archangel Tyrael himself, this order was put in place to defend Sanctuary and to end the terrible reign of the Prime Evils. «Diablo: Tales from the Horadric Library» on Amazon Questions have been raised on whether the release date of the authorless publication could be connected to a major Diablo game release. However, both upcoming Diablo titles don't seem to be a great fit for this narrative: While Immortal has been targeted for a Q1/Q2 release in 2022 since last August, we have also learned just two months ago that D4 won't come out in 2022 at all.

The cover image shows a mage facing a gigantic demon, only held in place by a few loose chains — and we have actually found the source of this image after looking through some of the older Diablo books! On page 71 of «Diablo III: Book of Cain» and onward, readers will learn about Jere Harash, a Vizjerei mage who successfully summoned a demon for the first time. This event as shown on the cover image led to humankind's first encounter with a minion from Hell itself appearing on Sanctuary.
