The upcoming Pokémon GO Johto Tour will introduce Apex Shadow Lugia and Apex Shadow Ho-Oh as powerful foes for players to face. Niantic's alternate reality mobile game has managed to maintain a large and loyal playerbase thanks to frequent support, like new events and new Pokémon collect. The upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event will pay tribute to the beloved region first introduced in 1999's Pokémon Gold and Silver.
Arriving on February 26, Pokémon GO's Johto Tour will require that players pay for a premium ticket before the festivities can begin. Once they purchase a ticket, players will be able to choose between Pokémon Gold and Silver starters Cyndaquil, Chikorita, or Totodile and participate in a variety of Johto-inspired activities. This new content will include research opportunities, wild Pokémon encounters, special attacks, the Johto Battle League, Shiny Pokémon appearances and more. Rotating habitats will influence which Pokémon appear throughout the tour, which will run from 9am to 9pm local time. Pokémon GO's Johto Tour will feature Celebi and Shiny Gyarados, too, giving players an opportunity to catch two rare pocket monsters.
