The next Neverwinter expansion will pit players against some of the most powerful monsters in the history of Dungeons & Dragons, as the Dragonslayer module for the game will include battles against mighty chromatic dragons, along with their wicked goddess, Tiamat. The Dragonslayer module was first revealed during the D&D Direct showcase, along with new D&D books.
Following the events of the Dragonbone Vale module, Valindra Shadowmantle was chased out of the Sword Coast. She managed to cast a flawed version of the Scaleblight Mythal before she left, awakening the phenomenon of dragonsight in dragons across Faerun. In D&D, dragonsight is a power that lets dragons become aware of their other version that exists across the multiverse. The dragons that had dragonsight forced upon them had their motivations twisted and it drove them into a rage. It's up to the players to join the dragonslayers of the Sword Coast and stop the dragons in their tracks. A D&D book called Fizban's Treasury of Dragons fleshed out dragonsight, for players who want to use it in their games.
