Two iconic fighting franchises are about to join again, this time on the mobile stage, as Netmarble has announced pre-registration for the King Of Fighters Allstar's Street Fighter V collaboration, which begins March 24.
The collaboration event will include multiple unique missions, dungeons, and rewards, as well as a special story arc exploring the in-game reasons for the two worlds colliding. Along with the previously announced Ryu and Chun-Li, Street Fighter series villains M. Bison and Akuma will be added as playable characters, as well as the newest member of the SFV roster, Luke.
Fans who pre-register will receive a coupon for 500 Rubies--KOF Allstar's in-game currency--as well as a Collab Fighters Summon Ticket that can be redeemed for one new fighter. The event is scheduled to run from March 24 to April 19, so the summon ticket must be redeemed by that date.
Street Fighter is the latest big name to invade The King of Fighters Allstar, joining fellow fighting games Guilty Gear, Tekken, and Dead or Alive, as well as World Wrestling Entertainment and anime franchises like Seven Knights and The Seven Deadly Sins. The partnership comes one month after both the launch of the latest entry in the core KoF franchise, The King of Fighters XV, and thereveal of Street Fighter 6.
This is not the first time Street Fighter and The King Of Fighters have joined together, with the most recent example being 2007's SNK Card Fighters DS. Other notable examples are Capcom vs. SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting 2001 and SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom.
