Those who were becoming anxious to get a first look at the upcoming live-action Resident Evil series on Netflix can breathe a bit easier. That's because on Thursday, the first official teaser for the upcoming Resident Evil show premiered, and brought with it quite a few details about what people can expect to see when the show lands in a few months.
Since Netflix announced its new take on the long-running franchise, it was clear that there were going to be changes to some of the characters that fans know best. That includes Albert Wesker who will be played by Lance Riddick this time around. Details about just what exactly people could expect in the series have been somewhat sparse but it is known the series centers on Wesker — who appears at first to be a well-meaning scientist with the Umbrella Corp — and his two daughters.

The new teaser trailer starts off by letting viewers know the Wesker children — Billie and Jade — are just arriving at New Raccoon City in order to join their father there. As they roll into town with the beloved pup, the very peaceful folk song «I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing,» is playing in the background.
Slowly but surely the pair make their way through one of the big settings in the Netflix series as scenes show what looks to be a pretty picturesque company town. Of course, it doesn't take long for things to take a darker turn, as the next scene shows Dr. Wesker taking out a vial of some sort of concoction in what appears to be an attempted cure at a disease that further scenes seem to indicate Billie has.
