Netflix's sci-fi anthology series LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS is returning for a third season that will hit the platform on May 20 of this year. The first season debuted in March of 2019 with some medium acclaim but garnered several Primetime Creative Emmy awards including Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.
The series is produced by David Fincher, Tim Miller, Jennifer Miller, and Joshua Donen. Netflix released a teaser with the release date, with footage from the previous seasons. There has been confirmation that at least two stories from the first season will continue on with this new season.
Each episode follows a similar template in that they are all under 20 minutes long, and produced by different casts and crews, though some episodes may have a creator crossover. The series title itself refers to each episode's thematic connection to the three subjects, though not every episode contains all three.
No creative teams have been announced, but Netflix stated that there will be an official trailer for Season 3 soon.
