Netflix released a new trailer for Love, Death & Robots season 3. The animated anthology series made its debut in March 2019 with an initial 18-episodes and was quickly renewed for a further eight in its second season. The show is executive produced by an all-star team of filmmakers, including acclaimed directors David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) and Tim Miller (Deadpool), as well as producers Joshua Donen (House of Card, Mindhunter) and Jennifer Miller. Initially conceived by Fincher and Miller as a remake of the 1981 sci-fi film Heavy Metal, the idea eventually morphed into a unique anthology series backed by Netflix after Miller’s Deadpool success afforded him more creative freedom.
The return of Love, Death & Robots has been teased in a new trailer shared by Netflix Geeked. Interspersed with clips from some of the streamer's other award-winning shows like The Crown and Queen’s Gambit, the trailer also featured scenes from some of the anthology’s most popular episodes, such as “Sonnie’s Edge,” “The Witness,” and “Ice.” While no new footage appeared to be released, the action-packed promo promised more high-octane episodes would arrive on May 20.
