Netflix has added a content warning to the first episode of Stranger Things season 4 following the tragic school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. After months of anticipation, Stranger Things season 4 landed on Netflix last week, marking a return to Hawkins, Indiana, and picking up the story of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and the rest of the gang following the emotional season 3 conclusion. The new season is more horror-inspired than previous seasons, boasting a scary new villain with Vecna, an otherworldly being from the Upside Down.
Stranger Things season 4, which has been split into two parts, is the biggest season of the show yet, with numerous supersized episodes running well over an hour long. Trailers for the season have hinted at a war coming to Hawkins and show Eleven continuing to deal with the fallout from losing her powers in season 3. Ahead of the show's premiere on May 27th, Netflix released the first eight minutes from the opening episode, showcasing the return of Dr. Brenner (Matthew Modine) and teasing a dark turn from Eleven as she appears to have brutally murdered her fellow experimental subjects in a frightening flashback.
