Nemona is being introduced in an upcoming episode of the Pokemon anime and her appearance suggests that Pokemon Scarlet is canon and Violet is not.
Ash might have infamously left the Pokemon anime earlier this year, but a new series is still ongoing starring new protagonists Liko and Roy as they explore Paldea. The series' next episode, which debuts on June 9, is introducing one of the most popular characters from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet - everyone's favourite enthusiastic Pokemon trainer, Nemona.

However, Nemona's appearance in the anime suggests something rather interesting. At the end of the latest episode, we got a brief look at Nemona's introduction to Liko and Roy and, as pointed out by Twitter user TAHK0, her choice of outfit seems to imply that Pokemon Scarlet is the canon game instead of Violet, or at least implies that the anime is following Scarlet more closely.
The key indicator of this is Nemona's outfit. The preview of episode 10 shows that Nemona is wearing a white shirt with an orange tie, which is her colour palette when playing Pokemon Scarlet and famously what made a bunch of Pokemon fans compare her to Dragon Ball's Goku. If you played Pokemon Violet, Nemona would instead be wearing the same outfit but with a dark blue tie and a violet shirt.
It's a small difference between the two games but one that indicates which version of the game that's being played. Since Nemona is very clearly rocking her Goku outfit here, it seems to suggest that the Pokemon anime is based on the world of Pokemon Scarlet and not Pokemon Violet. At the very least, it suggests that Nemona's Scarlet design is canon to her character.
