Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann Shows Off Elden Ring Character Dressed As a Clicker
Elden Ring's gargantuan over-world map has engrossed fans, and each player's experience with its diverse biomes will be unique on a first playthrough. Tons of armor sets have been discovered in Elden Ring that grant unique appearances to the wearer, with one that has stood out lately to a notable figure in the video game industry.
Recently, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann has shared screenshots of his intermittent progress through Elden Ring with new gear and locations showcased in each post. In a couple of his posts, Druckmann has made note of similarities he has derived between Elden Ring and The Last of Us' Cordyceps Brain Infection.
Hilarious Breaking Bad Edit Represents the 'Average Elden Ring Experience'
Druckmann's character was last shown off wearing at least the Body and Head of Elden Ring's Mushroom set, which boosts resistance stats such as immunity. These armor pieces adorn the player-character in large fungi pustules that sprout from the body, not unlike The Last of Us' clickers and bloaters. Druckmann cheekily captioned the screenshot with «Click click click» to emphasize the comparison. However, the attire may resemble a bloater more closely than a clicker with how large and overwhelming the fungi pustules are on the wearer.
Moreover, Druckmann had originally described Caelid as «Clicker Land» for all its scarlet rot pustules. Caelid is indeed vastly different from Limgrave's lush, open fields or the Mountaintops of the Giants' snowy peaks. Scarlet rot appears in multiple areas throughout the Lands Between and is a consistent nuisance. Fortunately for Elden Ring players, there are many ways to evade or cleanse scarlet rot, while The Last of Us' fungal brain infection is presently incurable.
