There is a brand-new fishing mini-game in My Time at Sandrock. It's called sandfishing, and players will need it fairly early in the game.
In order to get started with the sandfishing mini-game in My Time at Sandrock, players will need a Basic Sandfish Trap and some bait. The most common bait, called Sandworms, can be found all over the ground and when harvesting rocks and plants on the ground. This bait brings the fish to the surface so players can grab them with their trap.
My Time at Sandrock: How to Make a Bearing
Building a Basic Sandfish Trap is fairly easy; players will need 2 Copper Bars, 2 Wooden Stick, and 1 Thick Rope. Most of these items can be made at the Workbench from items harvested from piles around the player's home or can be gotten from My Time at Sandrock's Recycler with Copper or Wood Scrap.
In order to make Thick Rope in My Time at Sandrock, players will have to purchase the blueprints at the Commerce Guild building. Look to the right of Yan's desk to see the Blueprint register.
Once the trap is built and player's have some bait, head over to one of the many fishhooks on the map.
There should be two fairly close to town; one is just southeast of the player's workshop. Different fishing spots will feature different kinds of fish. The first time the player heads to this particular fishing spot, they will get a cutscene with one of the fourteen possible romance options in My Time at Sandrock: Elsie. She also loves Basic Fishing Traps as a gift, in case anyone is looking to romance her.
Hold the Basic Trap in the builders hands then walk up to the fishing hole. Press E when prompted to start the game.
Press and hold the left mouse button to aim the trap. Use one of the bait to make the fish hold still for long
