Warning! Spoilers ahead for My Hero Academia chapter 352!
A particular way in which Shoto Todoroki wields a variation of his Flashfire Fist super move is clearly the most creative of its kind in all of My Hero Academia. Flashfire Fist was originally developed by Shoto's father, Endeavor, as a devastating flame attack.
Although quirks serve as the foundation of My Hero Academia's battle system, alone they are usually quite plain. Super moves are methodologies that heroes and villains can tap into, altering the way in which they use or summon their quirk to achieve different outcomes. Although quite flashy and visually stimulating, Shoto's quirk suffers from being overly offensive, which also severely limits the variations of his prospective super moves.

But during a flashback in chapter 352, Shoto reveals that he recently learned how to activate his Flashfire Fist by using both sides of his quirk, rather than just one as he's normally done, resulting in Shoto having the capability to conjure cold fire. Although he uses this offensively while battling his older brother Dabi in the present day, Shoto's truly innovative utilization of this super move is for defensive purposes. Rather than summoning his mother's icy powers to cool his internal temperatures so that he can handle Endeavor's Hellflame as his father originally intended, Shoto can manipulate his cold fire around his upper torso in the shape of an «X,» thereby cooling his body.
