MultiVersus brings together an expansive roster from various Warner Bros. TV shows, cartoons, and films. With more characters yet to come, both confirmed and rumored, MultiVersus could very well be a serious competitor to other brawlers such as Super Smash Bros. However, while MultiVersus has cast a broad net for characters, many of them are still currently in the pop culture zeitgeist. The likes of Ben 10, the Joker, or Eleven from Stranger Things, all of whom are leaked characters for MultiVersus, are obvious choices for their ongoing popularity.
However, recently MultiVersus revealed Stripe would be joining the roster from the classic Gremlins franchise, alongside Black Adam and possibly fellow Gremlin Gizmo. As the firstGremlins movie released back in 1984, this represents an effort to acknowledge the legacy of Warner Bros. properties for Player First Games. While leaks point to more current characters, Player First Games should consider bringing more classic movie characters out from the archives to give them a new lease of life.
MultiVersus Characters That Still Need Their Own Stage
Mad Max started in 1971, and featured a protagonist who was significantly different to the character viewers might remember from the most recent Mad Max: Fury Road. Established as an antihero, Max was initially part of the Main Force Patrol in a dystopian Australia where civil order had broken down following oil shortages. While Max has evolved across the series, adding in such a radically different character to MultiVersus could help assure players that there will always be something for everyone, especially when Mad Max's last underrated game released in 2015.
