Motorola Edge 30 Pro leaks right before its launch in India! The Edge 30 Pro is Motorola’s next big flagship offering for the global markets and is expected to be based on the Motorola Edge X30 from China. This is officially the first smartphone in the word to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and is now heading to India to compete as Motorola’s attempt at taking on the slew of Android flagships. And before that happens on February 24, leaks have revealed the prices and storage variants.
Based on leaked information from tipster Yogesh Brar, it is said that the Motorola Edge 30 pro could carry a price ranging between Rs. 45,000 and Rs. 50,000. A previous leak suggested an on-box price of Rs. 55,999. Motorola is expected to launch the phone in a single Cosmic Blue colour option in India for now. Additionally, this phone will only be available in a single variant, consisting of 8GB RAM and 128GB.
Note that this is still unconfirmed information and Motorola is yet to announce anything officially on this front. Hence, you should take it with a pinch of salt. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is a high-end chip that could drive smartphone costs upward, similar to how it happened with the previous generation Snapdragon 888 and Snapdragon 865 generations.
If the phone is based on the Edge X30 from China, we can have a fair idea of what to expect from this phone. Motorola could end up offering the same 6.7-inch OLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. The display could feature a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
