Motorola is all set to launch its new foldable phone – the Moto Razr 2022 along with the Moto X30 Pro on August 2. The Moto Razr 2022 will debut as a successor to the previously launched foldable Moto Razr 5G handset in 2020. While the phone has already created a hype amongst android phone users, it has been spotted on Geekbench benchmark site by Nashville Chatter. And the listing has revealed that the handset might be powered by the flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 as it suggests that the phone will come with an octa-core processor which is most likely to be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. Additionally, the Moto Razr 2022 has scored 1251 and 4076 points in the single core and the multi-core tests. The phone is listed with XT2251-1 as model number on the Geekbench benchmark platform.
Do note that, Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset is built with TSMC's 4nm processor and is backed by an Adreno 730 GPU. That's not all, the listing also reveals that the phone will have a 12 GB RAM.
Moreover, Some leaked images of the device suggest that the phone will pack a 50 megapixel camera lens on the rear panel along with a 13 megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 32 megapixel lens on the front for selfies and video calls. The device is tipped to be offered in Tranquil Blue and Quartz Black color variants. The price is expected to be around EUR 1,149 which is roughly Rs. 95,000.
The 2020 launched foldable Moto Razr 5G handset was equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset which was a mid-range processor; however, this time the predecessor Moto Razr 2022 seems to be more powerful as it will ship with a flagship chipset that is the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.
