Jeremy Slater, the creator and head writer for Marvel Studios' Moon Knight series, revealed new details about the creation of the hit series. In his interview, Slater mentions how he dealt with the Egyptian Gods in light of the upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder.
Slater's Moon Knight was the sixth Marvel Studios series to begin streaming on Disney Plus under the MCU umbrella. Moon Knight was preceded by WandaVision,The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,Loki,What If...?,and Hawkeye. Mohamed Diab led the Moon Knight directing team, which also consisted of Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson. Additional members of the cast include May Calamawy and Ethan Hawke.

A massive piece of Moon Knight is Marc Spector and Steven Grant's relationship with Khonshu, the Egyptian God of the moon. Throughout Moon Knight, there are sparring appearances from other Egyptian Gods, including Taweret and Ammit. Moon Knight isn't the only Marvel Studios project to deal with Gods. In his interview with The Playlist, Slater discussed how he crafted these characters and collaborated with Thor: Love and Thunder, whose main villain's purpose is to kill all the Gods. «Marvel was great about giving us our own little corner and our own little space and saying, 'Ok, the Egyptian Gods can be their own thing,' especially since we're only seeing, I think, three of them on screen over the course of this story,» Slater said. «But we did speak extensively with the producers of Thor: Love and Thunder just to find out what they were doing with Gods in their story to make sure that we weren't going to be contradicting anything.»
