Initially announced back in 2021, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is a mobile retelling of the events from Final Fantasy VII and its spin-offs Advent Children, Before Crisis, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus.
Although the game will be free-to-play, it will have loot boxes containing weapons and outfits.
Square Enix also announced during Summer Game Fest that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will release in early 2024, and will come on two discs.
