When it comes to the superhero cartoons of the late 90s such as X-Men and Spider-Man, Marvel fans seemingly have nothing but fond memories of these cartoons, and it appears Firaxis Games is looking to tug on those strings in the lead up to Midnight Suns' release. The impact of these series is still felt all over Marvel properties today, from throwback toys to musical and design references dropping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, most notably Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness' iteration of Professor X. Firaxis, though, will give its own spin on this nostalgia with a series of prequel shorts for its upcoming game detailing how the team comes together to battle Lilith.

The animated prequels followed, with Firaxis revealing the opening montage for the prequels showcasing the various heroes which will make up the titular team.
